Audience of about 100 000 visited the first world contests on the Indian biathlon in May 19, 1991.

The Olympic Games organizers more than once tried to exclude expensive kinds of sport which do not attract audience and, therefore, advertisers, from the program. These kinds of sport survive without «promotional» money but only due to the grants of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and National Olympic Committees (NOC). However, their stands are always empty.

The Indian biathlon was initially created for spectators, television and advertisers. Based on these three foundations, it will appear in the Olympic arena. However, to make these three foundations quickly «carry», one should well understand and take into consideration their interests.

The rules of holding contests, the rules of organizing the places for contests, new special canoes, suits for sportsmen, targets for archery and everything else was created in the interests of audience, television and advertisers.
